Strawberry and chia seed porridge

Not used chia seeds before. They suck up more moisture than porridge so use a bit more milk (or water) than you’d usually use. They add a gloopier consistency but also a bit of a crunch. Chia seeds are rich in omega 3, B vitamins and other good things.

What to use

  • 30g porridge oats
  • 2 table spoons of chia seeds
  • milk/water (I’d recommend milk)
  • 2 big strawberries
  • a few mint leaves

How to use it

Put your porridge and chia in a pan with milk, bring to a bubble, stirring well. Chop up your strawberries. Add one to the mix, and decorate with the other, and the mint.

Mmm rating: it’s healthy and while lovely, porridge will only ever rate a mm mm for me

Calories (with milk): 200

What to listen to: Gregory Porter

What to watch: Bloodline (as recommended by Louise – many thanks) – they’re not bad people, they just did a bad thing…
